dracos shed

hi, draco shed on his head and legs just over a week ago but he doesnt seem to be showing any signs of shedding on his body. his tail looks like its ready though. ive read that there can be a weeks gap between different places but he's usually shed his body by now. ive been spraying him everyday but have only bathed him once this week (he'll be bathed tonight) as ive been ill and have exams coming up. has anyone got any ideas on how i can speed it up or if theres a problem?

I don't know if this helps or not, but I was bathing my lizard everyday while he was shedding, and then I stopped bathing him for 2 days, and he completely shed, maybe when they are already shedding letting them dry up a bit helps with the process, I don't want to be quoted on this, but this seemed to work for my lizard.

Hey there,

Most older dragons tend to shed in patches. The all-in-one shed is mainly for little ones who are growing at a rate of knots!
My eldest will usually shed in one or two places at a time like so:

But in short, no. There isnt much you can do to help speed up shedding. Aloe vera and vitamin E can be applied but these are only really to be used on difficult shed spots (such as missing limbs etc).
Warm baths and massaging can help the skin finally start to come away on its own, but this would only speed things up by a day at most. You could therefore move your bathing up to every other day.

Other than that...just ride it out ^_^
Some patches can take longer than others to shed. Rubens shed ranges from a week to a month depending on its location.
