He is a honeycomb mali uromastyx. I posted more information on him in the Uromastyx forum, but I wanted to share my new baby with all of you too. We got him yesterday at the reptile expo in our state. I knew I was going to come home with a new baby, but I thought it was going to be a beardie! Sadly to say I honestly didn't see a beardie there that I had to have. Most were either teeny tiny hatchlings, or adults not for sale. The vendors had a lot of snakes, turtles, uros, monitors, and chameleons. They said the breeding season for beardies is over so they're mostly out. Anyway I hope you enjoy him. He is so awesome he's not skittish at all, very loveable and cute!

Uro, beardie, almost the same right? =P

He is adorable! I am so used to seeing them so big! Come to think of it, I think I've only seen 1 baby one (now 2).

And the name is priceless. Love simple. He looks like a Doug.

^ The spikes are just on the wrong end.

He's so cute :D I quite like Uro's! There's three at the local pet store here. Theyre so neat! They just sit in my hand and look around.

Congratulations! Wow how neat he is lovable as I had heard they are mostly considered "display" lizards.

We got Doug from Deer Fern Farms and I believe their uros are a world of difference compared to a lot of other breeders and pet shop uros. Also I've read that it depends on the breed of uro whether they are social or not. Doug is extremely loveable and social. He goes in his cave at night to sleep and cool a bit, the rest of the time he's out watching what's going on. He lets me pet him every time I'm in his cage to clean or feed him, and he's not skittish at all. I think it makes a difference what age you get them too. Doug is a baby and captive bred, a pet shop uro could be wild caught and older and not like people. If you or anyone is interested in a uro I would go to Deer Fern Farms.

Thank you for all the compliments guys! We are really enjoying having him, and Sunny and Frank seem to be ok with it so far.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
