double beardie enclosure

so i want to get another dragon sometime soon, but space is limited in my room. So i need to go up rather than out. What i want to do is make like a double decker type thing. I was just wondering if anyone here has pictures of something that they did similar to this or know where to find some inspiration. I know that i could just buy a metal rack and put them on it, but i want to be able to customize my beardies' homes. Plus i feel like a forty gallon is about my limit with tanks on a rack, plus i want to actually build mine so i can go as big as i want and make it to my standards, Im sure most here will understand.

i dont have any pictures but my friend has a triple decker n he has da smallest room ever. dey cost like 300 each cage. but u sed u wanted to build it urself. so juhs put sliding doors in the front n make holes in the top for the lamps.

We converted this entertainment center into a 4 viv condo. You can find old furniture free or cheap on Craigslist and do something similar if you're handy or know someone that is!

They look kind of plain in the pic since I was excited and took it before we'd finished decorating, haha

Thats exactly what i was hoping to see! i've tried looking on craigs list for old furniture but i dont know what to type in, it seems like a really hit and miss type of thing since it has to be just right for what you want. But after you get the furniture it seems to be pretty straight forward on how to get it to what you want. Any tips that i should consider before i start or what to look for? I wouldn't wanna learn the hard way haha oh yeah, and do you know the dimensions of your tanks? thank you so much

I can't remember the exact dimensions offhand but I know each is pretty much the same as about a 40 gallon breeder.

The thing I look for when trying to find furniture to convert is usually depth. When I've been looking I've found things like bookshelves, dressers, entertainment centers, armoirs, etc that looked great only to find out they were only a foot deep or something. Then I'd be bummed. But I always ask for dimensions and as long as it's about 2' deep it would totally work. I see solid wood bookshelves a lot that are nice and deep and would make a great conversion.

Oh! Also try searching for "barristers bookcase". Those are the bookcases that already have the glass doors on the front of each shelf. If I could find one of those that were the right dimensions it would rock. Good luck!
