Soo its becoming routine..Every morning at about 8:30 Dorito wakes me up by running around his cage head bobbing. He goes crazy haha all over the tank. I have a large rock formation that makes a ton of noise and he just climbs up and down, up and down. Anyone else's beardy freak out in the morning?

It actually works out tho, gets me out of bed haha. I end up giving him a bath, he poops then sits in his window sill calm soaking up the sun. Also the perfect time to get him to bite down on these gauze strips I got from the vet to help clean up his teeth.

They all have their own routines. It sounds like he's got a good one. I've had them black beard and puff out a lot in the morning. They tend to be generally grumpy early in the AM but show it in slightly different ways.

Haha my beardie Nelly does the exact same most days. Makes me laugh and drives the GF bonkers.

You said he goes to the bathroom once you've taken him out.

Gary does this similar thing when he needs to poop! He will run around all over the place until we take him out, and then he'll go in the bath! Sounds to me like it might be his way of communicating he needs to go and doesn't want to stink up his tank

Ya Nelly seems to only crap when I take him out. He used to in the Viv when he was younger which was easier to manage. Recent month or two when I take him out he stays still for a bit, poops on the bed usually (ya real pain in the ass) then starts running around a bit. Fairly annoying! Lol
Sometimes I can see his stomach starting to make the moves so I catch it in time and run him to the toilet or something...not often enough! Luckily the GF usually isn't around when it happens which is good!
Instant stank lol

Ya if I'm giving him a bath it's a sure fire in there too lol. I just don't wish to bath him that frequently specifically to avoid the random poop

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
