Doesn't like her cage anymore?

So I have a female bearded dragon who is almost 10 months old and 18". Her cage looks like this

cage2.jpg

minus the little green/brown ramp next to the hammock on the left, and she's bigger. Old-ish pic. =P
She has an 18" long reptisun and a 24" reptisun with no mesh between her and the lights. The 18" is almost 6 months and the 24" is almost 5. She has a halogen flood light on a dimmer for basking. I keep that around 107, with her cool side at about 79.

Anyway, lately she's been really cranky about being inside her cage. She paces around from one hammock, across the platform to the other hammock, and back. Or she climbs up and down the platform's ramp. She also tries to climb the glass walls and tries to get out (she succeeded once. Then I made sure it was escape proof). Sometimes she'll even get a very black beard, until I take her out.
Once I set her on my bed to wander around her black beard will go away, and she becomes a pretty happy camper.

My question is
, I'm wondering if I should change things up in her tank? Make a new/different platform... get her a branch or 2 instead of 1 of the hammocks... something?
Do you think she needs a change in decoration, or that she just wants to be out in the world/bed? o_O

I think her setup is great, however, may be a bit small for her as you have said she is bigger now. rearranging is always a way to tell. the muliple basking areas are a great thing to keep in there. what is her diet? is there a huge variety? my beardy is 3 months and doesn't eat the same live food, veggies, nor fruit two days in a row (aside from crickets for the chase). Variety can dictate mood substantially. the pacing is perfectly natural and you should implore that for the fact that she is actually being mobile and getting a slight workout. chasing reflection or attacking the glass is a way they test their boundaries. as for the blackening of her beard, i am sure someone else can answer that question. by the way, are you certain she is a she? hope i helped:)

Welll, no, I'm not entirely sure she's a she... I've been thinking about posting vent/back leg pics on here to have other people verify. Her cage is 36 L x 24 W x 18 H. So it's just a foot or so smaller than what most people have. If I had room for it, she'd be in a 4 foot, but for now... this is all I can do. At least it's bigger than a 40 gal.

She's really picky, and actually I feel like she doesn't eat as much as she should. I'd be happier if she was a piggy =P
I tried hornworms and she didn't really go for them. She's not a huge fan of wax worms, either.
She'll eat large nymph/adult dubia every few days, but only one or 2 for the day. She nibbles on her salad which has collard greens, carrot slices, squash bits, and a tiny amount of parsley in it. She'll also eat 5 superworms (with pinched heads) every other day or so. I always dust the supers but I don't usually dust the dubia.

i hope other people post their suggestions on here. i was thinking that a change in diet might spice things up. for veggies i use butternut squash, escarole, mustard greens, yams, baby bok choy, and kale. i have read that they enjoy vibrant colored veggies such as yams and squash and have noticed that it works with Hunter! i turn the veggies into a mash for better digestion and i'll mix the greens into it so that he gets all of the nutrients he needs. i dust it in a multivitamin and moisten it. he loves it. as for carrots, you should be lenient for that are packed with vitamin A and too much can be harmful. as for live food he loves his crickets and doesn't like mealworms either. hornworms on the otherhand he will eat right from my finger. have you tried silkworms? they are more of a treat as they are a little fatty but may make her perk up. i found a local breeder on craigslist and he even delivers them! you could make a project out of making her next enclosure and it would be really neat and fun. i plan on doing that with a 150gal in about 3 months. it may be too big at first but even as a baby he had no trouble finding things within a 40gal. i am not sure Hunter is a boy, like how you aren't sure, but i don't think i want to find out the versa haha.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
