I don't know the right answer to this question, but in my opinion, I certainly wouldn't be surprised if his behaviour has something to do with the weather! Most animals react to weather in some way or another. (He may also just want to get out and run around a little.)

They do indeed respond to weather. As we probably can guess they can sense the daylight, and from that time of day/year etc. We know the sense heat, and move around acoringly. But they can also respond to pressure aswell. For instance as the pressure, temp and daylight hour decrease, they will start to brumminate.

I wouldnt be surprised if there was a dramatic shift in pressure due to the storms that has him acting kookie!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
