yes i was away with my BD this holiday and throughout the whole vacation he would wake up and walk around his tank go under his light and yawn a big Yaaawwwwnn :shock: :shock: . wat a big fat lazy masterhis right after that he expects his morning breakfast. i have also seen him doing this during the day i wonder wat he gets tired of all he does is lounge around & tan all day

Yawning is not necessarily indicative of fatigue. All my reptiles (especially the snakes) yawn fairly randomly.

If I remember correctly, almost every species of [land?] animal yawns. Biologists aren't entirely sure why. But it's nothing to be worried about, at any rate.

actually someone can correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure when they go under their light and "yawn" open their mouths real wide they are taking in the heat......not exactly yawning lol

Yes, but it is mostly to let heat escape, kind of similar to when a dog pants in the heat.

It's like a dog panting since they don't sweat

But dragon's do yawn, and it's just quick while gaping is more of a long time leaving the mouth open.
