If this is MBD then perhaps my bulb is not doing its job w/ the UVB...It's a Repti-sun 10.0 Tube 2/3 of enclosure has this, she gets dusted crickets and salad is sprayed...tube 4 months old

I have noticed an increase of swelling in the left leg, some at base of tail, and starting in the left front forearm... here are photos.

When we were at the Vet these symptoms were not there...

I don't see any swelling, just the beginning of a shed. Is it the white areas you are concerned with?

I'll see if I can get better photos, its definitely swollen. She does not have any underbite, her demeanor is not wanting to be touched she opens her mouth at me. ...the swelling is probably on day 4 or 5 I thought it was how she was resting before but the scales are protruding out from the swelling..

I see what you are looking at but I really think its just shed. When it gets to the white stage it makes the limbs look larger, Jupiter has the exact same thing right now. As they get bigger/older it will become more pronounced at every shed. Its also common for some dragons to get crabby when shedding and not want to be touched.
If his limbs are indeed swollen, I wouldn't think MBD but gout and he would need a vet.

I agree with Gail - it looks like shed. I thought my beardies foot was swollen the other day and went into a blind panic- but it turned out to be just shed, thats probably the same with yours

I would like to say you are right, but I have a photo of her jaw, and its very weird that its so much...perhaps eating so much past week and a half is causing such a large shed...

the arm and leg still look like shed. However, her jaw does seem a bit weird. If your really worried than a trip to the vets to get her checked out might be the best bet

Tomorrow along with the list for the kids and I will definitely be done tomorrow, rather be safe....I'm sorry if I appear to be so paranoid on Buddy, I just really want to make sure she is good and healthy and stays that way. She hasn't shed in a while, and not since eating Oz, and all the usual items. Her feces still smell (High in protein?)

She's eating Collard, Mustard, dandielions...she is nto all that fond of straight greens so I will mince butternut squash and she devours the greens.

If she is Gravid (Belly still growing) will rest of arms/legs grow (Swell) as well? She is eating now, but she is avoiding her basking spot, staying at the cool side. (Until I just put a new salad in)

Would a gravid female, be more defensive? Her stomach, I can't tell if I'm feeling ribs or round spots that could be eggs.

When I held her for the "Photo shoot" She did open her mouth to me, I talked softly to her, we sat out in the sun a wee bit and she laid still, but remains very alert to the bird sounds outside, and to any voices inside (The kids etc)

I took out her cave so she couldn't hide and would have to be under the UVB...Is that an OK thing to do? I have a Rubbermaid Tub, when placed in the Sun-porch near the window, she would get adequate heat and natural light, with a ceramic heat at night, if she starts digging around in the enclosure I'll place her there.

I haven't checked your other thread in a little while, and sorry for being graphic, but has all of oz passed yet? Have you gotten x rays? If you don't know for sure that he has passed all of oz and is getting more swollen in the belly you need to go to a vet..

Hi there, we did... Buddy did a good job, staying warm, basking digesting that the bones broke down to almost unrecognizable pieces. No blood while passing, no parasites found, but was asked to repeat stool in a little bit to give it another look soon.

I should feel ribs all the way down, I'm trying to feel if they feel larger or smaller each day, I've gotten into a routine of sitting her on my lap in the window and petting/talking then gently massaging her belly.

Am I going crazy? Yes....this is my almost 9 yr olds pet when she turned 7...She has done so well learning, caring, loving and I don't want anything to happen to this girl, and I still haven't shaken that recent scare.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
