Does she have eggs?

My bearded dragon is a little over 2 years old, and I was wondering if she might be carrying eggs? She is extremely active, way more than normal. She is tearing her cage apart, and scratching at the glass. All of her lighting is correct, and she is healthy. I opened her cage to feed her and she jumped out and almost jumped off the table before I caught her! I let her out yesterday, and she was running everywhere. She's a maniac, and all of her scurrying is driving me crazy! Do I make her an egg box?

Sometimes they just have bouts of hyperactivity. This is especially common after brumation and during mating season. In those cases there isn't much to do except let them run around and burn off steam and wait it out. It certainly wouldn't hurt to give her time in a dig box and see what she does though.

Thank you so much! When you say dig box just put a box of sand in her cage with her?

It's better to create a separate box. A large plastic tote bin usually does the trick. Then it's a mix of damp play sand and organic topsoil in most cases. You want a consistency that will hold a tunnel shape easily.
