I was on my laptop till 2 lastnight, and, i saw that aro wasent sleeping, and it was almost 3!
he kept dozing off, but, wakeing up like, 5-10 minutes later, hes not old, hes only 13 months. or 14 months.

he has a red light, that gives him heat, and i know alot of you say that redlights not good for them, and now,m im starting to wonder, (old account ShadowLizard)
Does aro stay awake because im awake, i shut his light off about 11, and he knew it was time to go to bed, so, i notice all that time, hes not sleeping, just sitting there, then around 2 he layed down, but he wasent really sleeping....

Whats wrong with me beardie?????

I notice Calypso doesn't go to sleep, or very well, if I am on the computer. The light keeps her up and moving around. I guess there is something to the total darkness thing, or I haven't noticed otherwise.

my iggy wont sleep with the red light, i tried it too. but once the temps drop and it's dark he goes right to sleep. if i'm up late and watching tv or on the computer i put a blanket over his cage

I'm almost always up later than my beardie - making noises and having the lights on. When it's his bedtime, I turn his lights off and then wait 15 - 20 minutes (or until the lamps have completely cooled down). Then, I put a lightweight blanket over the top and front of the cage (the sides and back are blocked off - so he can't see anyways). I then leave the blanket on all night and it helps keep the cage semi-insulated (the temps stay in the high-60's to mid-70's - which is good for the winter). When I get up in the morning, I carefully take the blanket off and turn his lights back on.

Caution though: If you have a timer on your lights - don't use a blanket!! You could cause a fire if the lights were to come on when the blanket was still on it.

Hope this helps and hope he sleeps better. :D

Falthazur's on a timer which turns off at about 8:45. I'm usually awake until midnight or one, radio on, laptop on, two fish tank filters and lights, sometimes the room's light, and a fan. He didn't sleep so well before, but now he starts tuckering out before his light goes off and just crashes and burns. Maybe he's just resigned to living with a teenager. *shrug* He only wakes up again if I make a loud, out-of-the-ordinary noise to stare daggers into my back.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
