Does my bearded dragon have tail rot??

I just bought the reptisun 10.0 one that was recommended. Literally copied and pasted it to amazon and ordered a fixture for it. So over petco and petsmart. Everyone in here has been more helpful than any of those employees what did g recommend any uvb lighting or the one who sold me the zilla fixture

Well I'm glad that you got the right bulb. and Honestly, I've stopped trusting most petco/petsmart places altogether since they give away such bad advice and treat their animals very poorly.

I Also wouldn't have very much faith in the employees either because i'm betting it's some person who's just trying to get money and probably doesn't even care that much. :?

Although one pet shop has definitely surprised me, Pet supplies plus have been very good any time i've went there. They give their reptiles good UVBs (typically Reptisun 10.0 T5HOs) and good heat bulbs. They also typically give their animals good spacious tanks with no more then 3(or less) reptiles per tank. The employees I’ve dealt with have also been very informative (good advice I mean) and They do seem to actually care more about the animals. So in my past experiences With Pet Supplies Plus Have been very good (and it mainly specializes in reptiles).

So I'm glad that there are at least ONE good pet store.

Are you guys sure it’s not tail rot. I just picked him up and his tail looks like this.

It was possibly nipped when you got him and will probably go no further than this. Just keep an eye on it and you can dab it with a betadine/water solution twice a day.
