Hello, I was just wondering how many people here have healthy dragons with the genetic droopy eye. My Nim used to have droopy eye, here is a pic that shows it really well.

This one was way back in the summer. He was otherwise healthy.
Here is a very recent pic, his eyes look normal now.

His diet hasn't changed and his health is still the same. The setup I have is perfect. Now, I know droopy eye is genetic and also a sign of illness. I have seen many pictures of dragons with the drooping eye and they are just fine. Some think it is just a sign of illness or nutritional deficiency. Also, I can't seem to find anything about this. What is it exactly? What goes wrong in the genetics that causes this?

Thanks to whoever replies. I just love my Nim more than anything and I'm worrying about him again. And just like every time it's probably nothing. Oh, I have no idea where this belongs. Any mod can move it to where it should go. :D

Most cases of droopy eye is dehydration, but as you had stated, there are known cases where it's a genetic thing.
I'm sure others will chime in to offer info on the latter.

Thank you for moving it. And dehydration may be why my Nim had it but now doesn't. Because when he was younger I didn't bathe him as well as I should have. So his poop was dry looking. Of course it was slight dehydration, and he doesn't have it anymore. :D
Thank you for that info. I would love to see if anybody else has more on this.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
