can anyone confirm or deny this nasty rumour? a friend of mine who is an avid herper swears up and down that supers will chew their way out of my beardy if you don't pop their heads before feeding. personally watching the whole eating process i'm skeptical. that little bug gets mashed pretty good before being swallowed. but to be safe i'd like to sample popular opinion.

thanks folks, john

Anything with a mouth can bite.
I dont feed supers to my geckos because they tend to gulp food.
But I have fed supers to my dragons for years, and if a super survives the chewing and then the stomach acids and still has the moxey to chew its way out then im breeding the wrong pet....lol

They bite me when I pick em up sometimes, but the rumor of them being able to eat outta the stomach is false. Its like saying if you eat watermelon seeds, a watermelon plant will grow.

I concur w/ everyone else. Bad information, totally false and never documented. I would worry more about impaction which is a very real possibility when feeding incorrect sized mealworms and Supers (not saying that you are). I'm just saying that if you're going to worry about an ailment worry about something that exists. However you'll always seem to find someone who swears this happened to a friend or someone they knew but never to them. Why? Because once SuperWorms go into a dragon there's only one way they're coming out..... A nice, hot, steaming pile of

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
