Do spikes grow back?

I have a 3 month old, beautiful baby girl named Astrid. She is so cute and has no nips or anything like that. But she recently shed and is now missing one of her side spikes. Doesn't bother her but it hurts me to see it. I soak her once per day and I feel like maybe I should've done so twice that day since she was in shed.

I know Bearded Dragons fall under the category of reptiles that don't regroup limbs(toes, tails, etc.). But does their spikes consist of the same thing their skin and nails are? In other words, will she regrow that spike?

The outside of the spikes shed along with the rest of the skin but from what I've seen there is a fresh spike underneath the shed. If you can post a photo it would be helpful. You can post it to photobucket or tinypic and then past the url with the img tag here so it appears in the thread.

I would say no. My first boy lost one on his beard because a pesky piece of shed got it and it never grew back. She's a pretty girl and just as beautiful without her one little spike

The spikes are my favorite part. She's a Hypo Dunner, and though I enjoy the feel of leatherbacks, I think the spikier the better.

As long as she's not hurt I guess it's no problem. I will be soaking her twice a day while in shed.
