Do it yourself fecal testing!

Hey everyone!

Well I decided to try doing my own fecals at home so I've ordered a microscope and float kits off from http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/ I've done some reading into it and feel I'm competent enough to do it. Back in high school Biology was one of my favourite subjects and have used microscopes in the past, just not recently. How many of you do your own fecals at home and do you have any hints and tips? Thanks a lot!

I have tried it and my only tips would be to double check everything. Also make sure your learning from a reliable book and you should be good.

I've been doing my own fecals for 3 years now and it's pretty easy as long as you know how to identify the ova. My only tip is to understand the parasite physiology and be sure to only medicate when necessary.
