two 5.5 lamps with two black bulbs and two white heat bulbs

i have a repti-sun 10.0 with fixture

i have phoenix worms

two hammocks (1 on cool side 1 on hot side and used as basking)

logs

tile as substrate

screen mesh lid

rep-cal's calcium with D3

rep-cal's herptivite with multivitimains

a 55 gallon long cage

veggies (need to be dusted? i dont know)

water bowl

thermometer with probe (ditital)

2 thermometers with hygrometers (ditital)

ok, lets see i have:

two 5.5 lamps with two black bulbs and two white heat bulbs You dont need black bulbs beardies like to sleep in the dark any light bugs them what kind of white bulbs are they? You could use a flood light from your local hardware store

i have a repti-sun 10.0 with fixture Is this the tube or the coil Tube is better

veggies (need to be dusted? i dont know) yes you could dust veggies I do as my beardie wont eat calcium any other way

water bowl no water bowl they wont drink out of it

I usually alternate between calciums either every week or every month. Some people only use plain and some Only use with d3, but since I'm Indesisive I alternate! Sometimes if im out i will just buy one, use it unil its gone amd them the next time i buy it i het opposite od what i got before, if that makes sense. Whatever works best for you.

I read an article that said you can't give them too much d3 or they will die, is that true? My calcium has d3 in it as well.

Correct me if I'm mistaken. I remember reading somewhere... I've read a lot this past month in preparation for my future beardie and I recall this:
ReptiSun 10.0 T8 -> Calcium + D3
Arcadia 12% T5/8 -> Calcium + D3
Mega-Ray bulbs -> Calcium w/o D3

I have a ReptiSun 36" T8 installed w/ Calcium + D3 powder, but have been curious on if the use of Calcium w/o D3 would be better.

Calcium should be dusted one feeding a day for 5 days, and vitamins should be dusted 1 feeding for 2 days.

The last time I read was MegaRay and ReptiSun 10.0 tube=calcium but D3 not necessary.

It's a personal choice IMO. I use it only because they are under arfificial light and not direct sunlight and i live in New Jersey so the only time its warm enough to take him outside is during summer. But I alternate between the two. I have a reptisun as well. Some vitamins have d3 in them as well, which is another reason why I alternate.
