Do I have a German Giant?

Hello.
My Bearded Dragon's name is Ollie. Ollie is 4 1/2 months old, and is 15 1/2 inches from head to tail. I got him March 4,2011. I don't know the exact Date of Birth but it is somewhere around February 4,2011 because when I got him he was 4 inches long. He has NO health problems as of right now. He is my first Bearded Dragon and first ever Reptile. To me it is crazy that he is 4 1/2 months old and is 15 1/2 inches long. I will post a picture down below. But is that normal or he is a German Giant?

If the link does not show I apologize, but if it does that is when Ollie was 3 months old and his colors weren't as bright. Now he has a lot of orange streaks,and tans,browns,white,cream,and dark purple,and some scales are black just a few though, also he has black and yellow streaks on his beard.

I know he is a male because he as two LARGE bulges near his vent and has pores or little brown dots on the bottom of both of his hind legs.

Is this a picture of him while he's 15 inches long? If so, I don't mean to be rude, but I think you're looking on the wrong side of the ruler. If he sits still maybe you can get a photo of him next to your measuring device.

Whoops, sorry, I just read that it was when he was 3 months. But it's crazy that he would grow that big that fast! What are you feeding that monster?! Beautiful coloring, by the way

The only way to know is if you got him from a breeder, with proof of genetics and true hatch date. You prob just have a (nice colored) "biggest of the clutch" baby. His length seems only a lil bigger for his alleged age.

Honestly, early growth rates are not indicative of a large final size. Some grow fast...others grow slow. The kicker is how long they grow for
As for GG genes...your probably not going to find any "true" GG genes around today. Most have been so watered down that its nothing more than an advertising catch phrase. The original German Giants were Pogona Barbata/Pogona Vitticep crosses, and I'm unaware of any true hybrids alive right now. Most of the GG stock being used as breeders are many generations removed from the original GG imports.

Lol, this is funny, because I was literally just about to post a very similar question. Loki is just under 4 months, hatched roughly a week before St. Patrick's day, and we just measured him at nearly 17 inches. I was curious as to whether it was a sign of him being a big boy or just quick grower.

aha! thanks guys! i feed him crickets,greens like kale,collard green etc. and i also feed him phoneix worms everyone now and then. as long as he is happy and healthy im totalluy ok!
