Do female beardies go through any kind of hormonal changes?

Hi, I'm amy. I got Taylee 2 months ago. She is 9 months old. I am wondering if she will go thru any kind of hormonal changes??? It may sound like an ignorant ?, but will i ever find blood or nething in her urine and feces? If she will go thru changes do u know the age it will happen? Thank u much ....Amy

All dragons go through hormonal changes, and some display it more than others. No, no blood, but your female may start laying infertile eggs. Some do, some don't, but don't be surprised if she does. They'll also get grumpy (believe me, I have a hormonal boy at the moment, constant black beard!) even if they're easygoing like mine. Some eat a lot more, some eat less. She should be going through it soon, my baby's a late bloomer, hormonal at almost 11 months!

Just so you know what to do in case of infertiles, I'd look up the care of infertile gravid females. Just so nothing goes wrong, and you know what to do, and what to look for. Your girl is beautiful, by the way. :wink:
