Just curious if people notice their beardies get pickier with age in regards to their food. Mine is about 8 years old and I have noticed he's not nearly as active as he used to be...some days he's more active than others. More than that, he seems to be getting pickier with age. I had problems awhile back with him not eating veggies. I did the tough love approach for nearly two weeks and he finally started eating veggies. I waited a few weeks before introducing live back into his diet. He gets about 5-8 superworms on Monday Wednesday Friday's. (The number changes each day depending on behavior of my 5th graders....I let the kids feed superworms by hand as a reward).
Lately he has gone back to holding out more for the live food and not eating his veggies. It seemed for awhile like collards were his fav but he hasn't even been touching those for the last week. Part of me says..."he's old, just let him have some gut loaded live feeders and enjoy the last couple years"....the other part wants him to live as long as he can while he's older...planning on getting Dubia's and the occasional Hornworm treat.
Thoughts?
