Do Beardies bruminate longer up north?

My 1.5 year old beardie has been semi bruminating since November and I thought he was starting to come out of it but he's gone back to going to bed at noon again. I live up north so the sun still sets pretty early this time of year so I was wondering if anyone else had beardies that bruminate longer up north because of the day length? Besides that he's still eating well and I double checked his temps are good so maybe he's just a long semi bruminator?

Based on what I've seen, I don't think the outside season or day length affects their brumation. They seem to do this do varying extents at any time of year. I'm not exactly sure what the trigger is. I've had my guy go into brumation from fall until early winter (and hyperactive through the winter) and I've seen him go into brumation in the middle of summer when outside temps were in the 90s and the days were long.

I live in Ohio, but I read where you live might have nothing to do with when they brumate. When my beardie was younger she would go into brumation late August and not come out til March! Scared the crap out of me first time! I thought she was dying but she was 100% fine. I had taken her to the vet and she was good. It's always best to know for sure, but if yours is eating well I think he is ok. I have read a lot of different things about brumation. It appears everyone does it differently, but I think since you are still offering food that could be why he goes in and out of brumation. He is not getting to fully go to sleep if he wants. I read that some ppl just leave their dragon alone until they come out looking for food. I used to offer Roxy food during brumation when she was younger, but now I leave her be unless she comes out of her cave on her own. Then I offer food. She is a lot older now tho, 5 yrs old. Sometimes she will do a full brumation and sleep straight through winter, sometimes she wakes up a few times for water/greens. She is a worm-a-holic, so I try not to offer worms during brumation, unless she appears fully awake.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
