I live in Ohio, but I read where you live might have nothing to do with when they brumate. When my beardie was younger she would go into brumation late August and not come out til March! Scared the crap out of me first time! I thought she was dying but she was 100% fine. I had taken her to the vet and she was good. It's always best to know for sure, but if yours is eating well I think he is ok. I have read a lot of different things about brumation. It appears everyone does it differently, but I think since you are still offering food that could be why he goes in and out of brumation. He is not getting to fully go to sleep if he wants. I read that some ppl just leave their dragon alone until they come out looking for food. I used to offer Roxy food during brumation when she was younger, but now I leave her be unless she comes out of her cave on her own. Then I offer food. She is a lot older now tho, 5 yrs old. Sometimes she will do a full brumation and sleep straight through winter, sometimes she wakes up a few times for water/greens. She is a worm-a-holic, so I try not to offer worms during brumation, unless she appears fully awake.
