Do beardies and baby iguanas get along?

My boyfriend and I are thinking about getting an iguana once we move in together, it won't be for a while tho. I have a beardie and I was wondering if we get a hatchling green iguana if they would get along if we had a play time with them (outside of the tanks) we would wait until they're the same size and my beardie is a female, she shows no aression towards other animal or people (unless if its my cat trying to attack) she's very nice to other beardies and waves to them. (Got her from a pet store and there were 3 or 4 other ones with her) I was thinking if they meet at the same size and the iguana is younger than they might build a friendship or at least get along for the rest of their lives. My bearded is still a juvinile (about 11 1/2 inches) but she'll be an adult by the time we would get an iguana

No, they will not become friends and its a bad idea to even try. Reptiles don't need or want friends, your dragon isn't waving at the others because she is friendly with them, she is doing it to be submissive.
Iggys get huge and can be quite aggressive, especially if you end up with a male. All it would take is one bite to have a dead dragon.

Thank you, last thing I would want is a fight expecially if it was my baby, last thing is for her to get hurt. I knew head bobing is an aggressive act, and the waving was "not looking for a fight"

Gail's right, it really is a recipe for disaster. Iguanas are quite territorial and would make short work of a BD not much smaller, let alone when full size. Introducing a new reptile also creates the risk of introducing disease to one of them.

Thank you, I forgot about the disease thing. I might just get a tortus for myself. I heard its OK as long as they have the same environment. I forgot the name of the type.

Again, no. You don't want to mix species, its just a bad idea. While its true that a beardie and tortoise probably won't fight, they have no desire to hang out together either. There is always the possibility of passing disease between 2 species, best just to keep them away from each other.

Even animals that share the same wild habitat arent confined to each others company. Doing so can create a lot of unnecissary stress, whichI can lead to illness even if they can't share diseases. Most captive environments don't have the room needed to allow each individual to have its own space and they must endure eachother company or even harass each other.

The chances of transmitting disease or especially problematic parasites increases dramatically when you introduce a dofferent genus of animal from a different location.

Tortoises whilst slower are still capable of taking a nip at a bearded dragon that got too close. I'm also not aware of a species that would do well with the conditions needed for keeping a bearded dragon. (There may be though)

That said, if you've got space there is no reason why you can't have both as long as you ensure they don't come into contact (be especially cautious of any contamination for the first 3-6 months when you should follow a quarantining protocol)
