Thank you for the positive words. :) That helps a lot, I tried positioning his heat lamp right above him and even though it will be hot I'll see hot he does with that. I do take him outside every once in a while, it's just so humid here in VA that I worry about it up setting him, he also turns pitch black outside, I think it freaks him out. I'll keep you guys posted, so far today no hiding, I removed the reflector from my strip light and he has been keeping that left eye open too.

So I was wrong about Elijah's eye, his left one, he will open it but not for long. It's defiantly swollen as compare to the right eye. *sigh* He has been under a reptisun 10.0 for a month now, would I really just now start having problems with it?

Since you've been using it for a month and it is the Repti-Sun (make sure the bulb says that), then it shouldn't be affecting him like this. Perhaps he has an eye infection or scratched it. Might be a good idea to pick up some Saline eye wash to flush his eye out with to see if that helps it. Do you see any discharge coming from the eye?

Yeah it's a reptisun, I still have the package next to his cage. I can pick up some saline from the drug store tomorrow and flush his eye out (no one in my house are contact wearers) no I can't see any discharge from the eye, when he opens it, it looks clear, but it is defiantly swollen.

It would be a good idea to check the bulb itself. One time I bought a bulb at the pet store and even though the box said the right thing, the bulb had been switched with a Repti-Glo. I've heard of that happening to a few other people here too.

You don't want to get the saline for contact lenses, you want Saline eye wash for washing particles out of human eyes, that's very important.

Could you post a picture of his eye? Might be a good idea to leave the UVB off for a few days to see if you notice any difference.

Sure I can do that, I would hope that I have the right bulb as I ordered it from LLLreptile online! Yeah I'll post pics and get some saline to wash his eye, would just generic saline work? Clear eyes or something?

Frontal views, his left eye looks puffy compared to the right eye. Sorry they are a little blurry, my camera isn't that great.

I can't really tell by the pictures, sorry.

No, you don't want Clear Eyes. You want a saline eye wash, you can get a generic brand though. If you can't find it, a pharmacist could help you find the right thing.

So I've had Elijah's UVB off for a couple of days and his eye has opened back up fine and he is more active now...Should I call LLLreptile and see if it's possible that I got a bad bulb?

So I called LLLreptile, they said they hadn't had any bad reptisun's in. All I can read about the reptisun is nothing but good reviews. I've turned it back on but if his eyes go back to how they were looking and he gets lethargic again I'm going to have to do something else. He has not had a decent shed in over a month! *sigh*

So his reptisun has been on all afternoon, he tried to nap and he is closing his eyes again. I've flushed them out but that doesn't seem to be helping. I've positioned his basking lamp even closer to the UVB light just in case he wasn't getting enough bright light near it. Any other suggestions?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
