Do bearded dragons have boogers?

This is the second time in the history of having Gilbert (over a year) that she has had nose discharge. But oddly, isn't runny or gooey or anything.
And this is gross, but I worry about it disturbing her breathing so both times I have pulled it out. It looks like a huge wing to a cricket, which is impossible because I feed her roaches.
It doesn't seem like it should be very big because they have tiny nostrils, but once I pull it out it is huge. It looks leafy which is why I originally questioned if it was a cricket wing (that was the first time this happened which was a long time ago when I feed crickets).
What do you think it is? Do bearded dragons have boogers?
And I am sorry if I have grossed you out.

Sounds like a nose plug to me. This is actually the shedding of their nostrils and is normal. While it is okay to remove these plugs, make sure they are ready to come out so that you don't cause any damage. Sometimes dabbing the plug with a wet q-tip will help loosen it up and make it easier to remove.

Oh okay! Yeah I wouldn't have continued to pull if there was resistance.
Dang, I didn't know they shed in there. Is that normal that she still does that even though she is over a year old and has completely stopped shedding everywhere else?

Yes, it is normal and in fact, beardies actually shed throughout their entire lives. The shedding of course is not as frequent as they get older, but they do shed.
My 7 y.o. beardie just had some nasty nose plugs just a month ago. :wink:

Really? Because when I took Gilbert up the the shop and got her looked at they told me I stunted her growth some how and that she'll never grow to the size that she should be.

I was actually wondering about this myself because Ollie has had that while shedding too.
