My son is away at camp and I am caring for his beardie. She eats pretty good, but hasn't pooed in two days (I feel no lumps in her tummy). I am wondering if having someone else feed and bathe her is bothering her. Could this be?
When I first received my beardie I remember it was almost a week before he started to be more regular. I found that letting him soak in warm (not HOT) baths seem to help him defecate. Now it's like he waits for bath time in order to poop!!! Have to admit though, makes clean up A LOT easier!
Good Luck!
Yes it is normal for some beardies to be picky. we went away for 4 days and our 1 yr old dragon named Fireball wouldnt eat for the caretakers--who he has never given a problem. I came home and fed him 6 worms the next day and now he is being particular again
Rufus appears to me to have a negative response to changes I make in his enclosure. I'm curious to see how he will respond when I swap his paper towel substrate for slate. Very few things seem to slow down his appetite though so I can live with glaring and sulking

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
