DIY Soldier Fly "reproducer" out there?!

Ok, my one question is after all the food I throw in there even if it's not fatty terrible things for my beardie doesnt it rot and get sickness in it?

We made ours from a 5 gallon bucket, a few pieces of PVC pipe and rubber hose. I'll post pics tomorrow. We throw all kinds of leftovers in it (mostly bread, fruits and veggies). It does have a pungent odor, but no worse than your average compost bin. As far as rotting, I think the flies like it

Can the flys get out of the biopod? Sounds kinda cashy but if it works and no flys get out might be worth it in long run if you order the worms.
