First pic you can see the dimensions better for the basking platform as well as the middle and bottom hide.

It doesn't look to rounded. but from the outside it is Going to pick up the paint tomorrow at walmart, unless home depot has it. Can't wait to get that painted and paint on some finishing touches Then seal it and put it in! I beleive im going to put a piece of vinyl tile on top as well. Not sure if it will get to hot under the basking light but it would just be easier to clean and my Skyy seems to go potty on her basking rock, This will probably be no different. Which is why the middle hide has a piece of vinyl tile as well Does anyone use Mod Podge for sealer? Just wondering if i use that ontop if anything would soak in. The last thing i want is her messes to soak in and make this smell!

FINISHED PROJECT! Well just missing the sealer

Looks better in person then it does in the pic. Will let the paint get fully try and then do the sealer tonight. hopefully it will be in the viv by thursday

After all the mod podge spillage and spilling PAINT on my floor.. this disaster is done. LOLlooks horrible and next time i wont cut the brickes out and glue em on.. will find a way to just cut the bricks within the styrofoam.

HELP THE EVIL KING PUSHEd ME OUT MY WINDOW!

Sadly i can not use this as a basking spot yet.. the 100 watt bulb is way to hot and was making the top bubble so i had to take it out.. Thinking i will just put this on the cool side for now until i get money to mess with the lights. Move her bonsai tree to the basking spot as it has more places she can move to to regulate temps. It looked really good in the terrarium against that rock wall though Its her castle nestled next to a rock canyon

What if ya put a piece of tile a the top like some light like vinyl

i had the light a foot away from the top and it was past 120ºF so i think a lower wattage bulb would just be ebtter... Or i can just keep it on the cool side and have her bonsai the basking spot until she is older then make a shorter rock basking spot. im broke and have 400$ insurance i need to pay also so lol. If i put the vinyl tile.. which i have a few extra of, I think it would just be as hot or hotter then its supposed to be. Im thinking ill just put it on cool side though and keep it there. until i have the money to go out and test different bulbs are any house hold bulbs good to use? just not the swirly "energy" saver ones? because im pretty sure normal house bulbs dont get as hot as the basking bulbs you get from the petstores do

Really rad!!!! My tank is 4' by 2' by only 18tall so I cant do anything that awesome and tall. Looks rad though man.

mines only 18 tall as well. I got my measurements wrong i think lol! but its on the cool side and she likes it.. Her head is shedding, its the last part of her that needs to be shed and she has a lot of it off but she likes to rub her head on the bricks to get it off been dabbing water on her head to help her out. She just had her fill over 10-15 dubia for lunch. i need to really start counting lol. injected them with water though since she doesnt wanna drink when shes shedding i guess >.> so she gets water when she munches on those dubia
