Would u guys recommend to make a bowl like how we make rocks and platforms? I was thinking about making a bowl but I don't know if it will be safe to use it to hold water or food. And I was wondering if the water will damage the sealant and make it look bad overtime too.
Yeah I think I won't mess with food and water just to be on the safe side. I just thought it would be a small project to start with instead of a big flatform.
You could technically make one and heavily coat the inside of the bowl with clear aquarium sealant. Its non-toxic and dries semi-hard, as well as being waterproof.
In order to make a bowl you would probably need to coat the entire thing with aquarium sealant in order to be able to wash it regularly.
Polymer clay would be better for making a dish. They have some at walmart stays pliable until baked. Then you use acrylic sealant or modge podge, or ceramic seal. Food dish only, beardies don't need water dishes, they just add humidity to the cage.
Agree if anything make it ceramic cause it's baked and thats what the store bought ones are made from. In fact I have a bunch I use personally to drink from. There is a potter at the ren faire I go to that makes cups and I use them daily for years
You could always do what I did, create a base with spots where you can put in removable dishes, this way the food and water don't touch any of the foam or grout.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
