dividing tank

so i got a 180 of craigslist. i was going to use it as a fish tank, but its got a crack so now i think i will put my bearded dragon in it. later down the road i was thinking of dividing the tank and getting a second bearded dragon. how would i do this and would it be enough space? the tank is 6 foot by 2 foot by 2 foot. what watt basking bulb would i need with a 2 foot high tank? also if i just keep my 1 in there how many uvb lights do i need, and should i do a screen top or do i need it? thanks

As long as you remember that beardies can't be able to see each other, so in other words whatever you use to divide the tank must be solid.

Yes that tank would be big enough for 2 beardies as long as your beardies are allowed to come out for some true exercise now and then.

No one can tell you what watt bulb you will need as everyone is different. It all depends on what the temps are in your house, what kind of bulb you use, and what the temps are outside your house. Really it's just trial and error till you find the right wattage that keeps your tank at the right temps. If your just keeping one beardie in there I would suggest 2 on 2, 2 Basking lights and 2 UVB lights. These will also do for when you divide the tank.

For old fish tanks screen tops work the best I've found. Although the UVB works better if there's nothing between it and your beardie. Still in a converted fish tank it's hard to hand a light on the inside and keep your beardie away from it at the same time.
