Dimensions of wood enclosure? Should I put in screen door?

I'm getting an adult male Beardie for Xmas, and I'm buildling my own wood viv, heat lamps inside, door on side.

What are ideal dimensions? I'm thinking 60 gallon...

Instead of putting vents in the sides, I want to put in a screen door instead of glass. Would this work? Would it still hold heat well?

it depends what the ambient air temp is. I have 2- 4x2x2 melimine vivs w/glass doors & I have removed 1 door on each & made sliding screen doors for them, for the summer months (115*-120* outside). In the summer my house doesn't get below 78*, that combined with Mega Ray SB100's makes a perfect cool side temp gradient
