That is great Digger is doing so much better now, poor guy!
It sounds like he is improving daily so that is good news! I am happy to hear that his color is getting better now. Keep us posted on him.
Mary, I'm sure you're very relieved to get a good update from hubby. What a good boy to take the liquid calcium and juice, and making a solid poopy.
I wonder what made Digger fall off of the window, unless he purposely jumped off because he wanted to sit with Daddy.
Hope you'll get alot of snuggle time with your boy this weekend. Hugs from me and my zoo to you and Digger.
Thanks Gina, we have to watch him when he sits there because all of a sudden he will leave the log, walk to the end of the table and look to the floor, when we see that we pick him up and put him on the floor. Usually we can hear his nails on the log when he does this, but I guess the hubby didn't hear it (he's not doing good) so all he heard was the "something-fell-what-the-heck-was-that" noise.
I hope for some cuddles this weekend, weekends are the only time I have to get things done.
So he only produced urates and no poop? Had he had any solids this week? If not, then that'd explain the absence of a real poop.
Poor Digger, still wearing a black beard. It's really a shame that they can't talk and tell us how they're feeling.
Had he been black bearding on the days he doesn't/can't produce a poop???
THe only solids he had this week were the butterworms he had yesterday, I didn't expect to really see anything as he had diarrhea last week (brown, green with a little white)and the vet said to start the Flagyl if the diarrhea went past Thursday, well it hasn't, he was pooping a small solid Sunday, Mon & Tuesday and none I think on Wed.
He was starting to lighten up, in fact yesterday was his first full normal color, the black beard went away Monday and he was slowing turning back to brown (he's a normal)and I was overjoyed to see the pic of normal color yesterday...
I wish he could talk I feel so bad I wish I could be home with him..&$^@(&$ that I have to work
Digger is not feeling well again? Geez, he just must not be digesting very well.
Are you giving extra fluids daily? Were the urates hard or soft?
I hope he starts to feel better soon. Give him a hug from me.
Oh, dear...I'm so sorry to hear he passed on. My prayers and thoughts are with you and Digger. It sounds like he lived a long life of lizard luxury and was extremely well loved. I wish you strength during this difficult time.
I'm about in tears over here.. I'm so sorry. I recently found out how difficult it is to do everything you can do for a sick dragon and still lose him. I really wish I could give you a hug right now.
