Dig Box

I am trying to make my beardie a dig box, because I have noticed some major frustration in the sensory department this week. I’m not sure what substrate to use! We had an incident a few months ago where she ate her old tank decor (a plastic leaf), so I would prefer nothing chunky that she can put in her mouth. I’d also like to stay away from sand because of the germs. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Play sand and potting soil 50/50 mix. Make sure no fertilizer or pesticides in the pitting soil.
