Ok so my silkback female Whinny turned 2 months old on the 17th, and my male leatherback Dexter turned 4 months old on the 19th. When we got dexter, he was 2 months old, and about 7 inches. Whinny is 2 months old, and maybe 5 1/2 inches. She is such a picky eater as well, but she is still healthy.

Should there be a difference in growth due to sex?

Here's a site with a growth charts http://www.dachiu.com/care/charts.html (male and female) just look at the average. You said it was about 2 months old, so according to the chart it should be about 7.4 inches. So your beardie may be a little behind, but it's fine, as long as it's healthy, which it looks like it is. It will probably have a big growth spurt.

thank you rocky. my leatherback was about 2 1/2 months old when he hit his growth spurt. it seemed he was growing an inch every other day. i just wish she would hit hers because i am worried sick with her being so small and young.

and thank you for the compliments guys! she has such a great little personality already. when i mist her cage, she loves to run around chasing the water. or when i get home i will bend down in front of her tank and say hi to her. she always comes running up to the glass to look at me. and if you try and pet her in the cage, she scoots backwards to get away from your hand. she loves to be held though. i cant wait till she at least hits the 9 inch mark so i dont fret as much! lol

Just so you know, don't mist the cage. Bearded Dragons are to live in dry humidity (15-20% if not less I believe). If you want it to stay hydrated you can give it a bath and it's body has vents that will soak up some water. Another way is to get a water droplet and drop water on the tip of his nose. It may take a while for the beardie to pick up but it should eventually.

You're bearded dragon will definitely hit the 9" mark so don't worry. It may end up smaller than your average beardie, but no one knows so just keep up the good work and see what happens. As long as you are doing a good job taking care of it and it is healthy. :)

this is a silk back bearded dragon, completly different requirements than a normal beardie. you need to spray them often so their skin doesnt dry up and tear off their little bodies. i know not to worry much about my normal beardies, but she gets rubbed down with lotion weekly, twice weekly baths, and sprayed everyday. they dont shed like normal dragons, they flake. lol. thank you though

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
