Fred is 8 months old and is really picky when it comes to his daily salad but I continue to mix it up and try new things. Where the presentation looks gorgeous he won't eat any of his greens if there's anything else remotely mixed with them. I've tried bright colored items such as red peppers and diced up yellow squash to look like worms nope not having it. He won't even eat any greens (mustard and alfalfa sprouts are his fave) if I put them in a dish...has to be put directly on the floor of his viv then he mows them. So there's this ongoing struggle.

He has a array of bugs I buy him and loves them all. He gets crickets, dubias, and phoenix worms daily. I get him silkies as a treat because they aren't easy to find and so not cheap and once in a while wax worms. He's a big guy and is eating well for me I just want to make sure he's getting enough nutrients. When do I start feeding him superworms? Have heard so many mixed emotions on mealworms and read they're really not very nutritious for them? Thoughts?

Thanks!

Mealworms are fine in small amounts imo, and super worms should be fed to 16+inches beardies to lower the risk of impaction and choking.

Try cilantro! The smell attracts the beardies really well, and so does mint. Maybe try those two in the morning where he's really hungry :blob8:

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
