Hey, i've had my little guy for 5 days now, and when i first got my tank i checked all the temps with a analog thermometer and everything was good, well today he did nothing but lay on the floor in the corner where he usually sleeps and shows no interest in eating anything.

So i went out and got a digital indoor-outdoor thermometer and was SHOCKED my temps are almost 10-15 degrees lower then they should be! dispite the other thermo's being on point, i have a cool temp of 71.4 and a basking of 95.1 with the digital where with the regular zoomed i had 105 and 80, he's 4 months old and about 10" long, so i raised his basking spot like 2 inch's and he is basking right now, but i'm worried cause He has never drank anything to my knowledge and barley eats his greens and has eaten alot of crickets over the past 2 days but today nothing, i've tried bathing him but he just sits there floating for like 5 min then trys to frantically get out, I'm using a 100w for basking and a 60w for night (which i usualy turn off at night but turned on now to raise tank temps) and 5.0 reptisun UVB

So basically my main question/worry is, could he be dehydrated? and what can i do to get him to drink and eat because he hasn't drank to my knowledge in 5 days, and only eaten like 50 crickets in 5 days, along with very little to no salad :? i've tried using an eye dropper to feed him water with little success, i'm sorry if this isn't ER worthy but i'm getting really worried about him

It sounds like you are doing the right stuff over there. Are you dusting your crickets? What size crix and how many are you giving him? Just keep him hydrated by bathing him daily. if he doesn't start to eat tomorrow, try baby food on his nose and see if you can jump start his appetite. Chicken worked for me.

well most everything sounds good i would get a10.0uvb. but as for dehydration all a little one needs is a sip every other day or so i am sire if you are putting him in the water for a soak only up to hos little arms he is probably fine and 50 crickets sounds very good once he takes a big poo he will eat

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
