Where is your UV bulb? I don't see it? If it is above the viv then it's too far away, this could also be a problem. The dragon needs to be able to get within 6-12 inches of the UV bulb. if there's a screen on top then that will greatly reduce the UV also.
But atleast you can start with changing the heat bulb, moving the UV bulb should be the next thing.

to munchkins9802 : thankyou! :D and the tank is 2 ft.

mistermike: the uvb light is a long fluroescent tube, reptisun 10.0.. its at the back of the tank... we dont have a mesh top or anything at the moment, coz its a glass tank, i do know that the uv doesnt go through the glass as much, but weve been moving it to the other side, which i dont think is even helping.. and also the only thing that is holding the heat bulb up is the glass.. at the moment.

i feel extremely bad, because of what ive read i knew i was doing something wrong, and my parents wont listen to me haha theyve got their own theories as my mum has done research also. but i think i know what the problems is, we just dont have a good enough top. am i killing him,? :(

Well they NEED the UV and having it the other side of the glass basically reduces the UV to zero. can you not get 3M hooks? or suction cups to mount the tube on the inside of the glass?

what is ideal for the top then, ? because im using a fish tank that i (obviously) used to have fish in haha, so theres no where to put the heat bulb or anything, if that makes sense? other than over glass. ?

Is your tube in a fixture? or do the ends have long wires? could you not dangle the light in? just use something like sellotape to hold the wires in place at the top until you find something like 3M hooks?

the heat bulb is in a ceramic light fixture, at the moment it rests over the back glass.. is this makign sense?

and for the uvb light did u say just to maybe double side tape it to the inside glass? so he's gettng the full rays from the uvb ?? :)

Yeah :) just make sure it is very secure you don't want him jumping on it either :) so close enough to get the rays but not able to jump on

thankyou for all your help.!
so i want the uvb inside the tank but not too close, so closer to the top of the tank.. im gonna try the heat thing first.. as ive got nothing really to keep hold of the light fixture at the moment.. hm..
thankyou

No problem. I've not used a glass setup myself. I've only used wooden vivs with glass doors. so I can basically just screw light fittings to the ceilings or get hooks onto the sides etc. it may even be easier to find 2 long pieces of metal or wood, likeeee something to go across the top so you can put the light holder on them

oh okay! well.. my parents have decided to get some wood and put that on the top of the tank, and drill like a big hole in the top so that we can fix the heat lamp on top of the tank.. is that okay ?
And the UVB light is sitting in a frame thing like u would use on the back of a fishtank.. ? is it alright if i was to take that out of the fixuture and just use double sided tape to hold that in the tank?
sorry im probably being annoying with all these questions.. but i really dont want to be killing my beardie :(

You can try to affix your UV light in the tank with 3M strips or even heavy duty velcro.

Keep with the daily baths if you see it helping. Since you noticed your temp was so high before, it may just be that your beardie is very dehydrated.

Thankyou for all your help, my UVB is in a black light fixture and u need the fixture for it to have electricity to it, so I can't exactly put it directly in the tank. :/ but il definitely changing around the UVB and heat ASAP.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
