You're probably all getting tired of seeing me post threads. I'm sorry!! I just have soooo many questions!!
It's an 18 gallon tub.
I'm mainly wondering If I gave my bin enough ventilation. I didn't want too much because I know they need humidity and less ventilation means more heat/humidity. But I don't want to smother them, either.
I was also wondering if it's dark enough... I kind of wanted to be able to peek in without disturbing them, so I left one side uncovered, but I did cover the other 3 sides! Will they breed ok like that?
Temps are usually 84-86 where the little probe is at, which you can see in the first pic. I really want them to start breeding ASAP so was hoping to get some opinions on if you think this set up will lead to success? I only have like 15 adults in there right now. (10 females, 5 males) But I'm expecting 150 sub adults in the mail tomorrow, and another 100 babies in the near future as well.
I sand papered and cut up the sandwhich tupperware so that they should be able to crawl on it. I've seen them on the water gels and the fruit a couple times, but not on the food itself yet. :-?
Thanks so much for any advice, guys. I know it'll be a few months before I can even think about starting to feed out of the bin, but it can't come soon enough for me! The crickets are making me more upset by the week, and Daenarys is starting to get picky! (no, that cricket's too small. Get me a bigger one or I'm not eating.) x_x
