Diarrhea for way too long

Help! My poor beardie, I've done everything I can think of. shes just over 1 year old.
We have been battling to get her diarrhea to subside for months now. It started with Coccidia, so she was on Albon for 3 weeks while skipping 1 one between each weekly dose. It seemed to help until it didn't and we tried another round of Albon..did not help much this time around. I has also been giving her probiotics.

I went to a new Vet, their thought were that the good bacteria in her guts was wiped out, we tried some flagyl to firm her stools a bit for a stool sample...that helped alot, samples results came back fine, a small amount of pin worm but not enough to cause any problems. I continued with the probiotics to help her guts and all was good. Until I had no choice to to travel with her.

Her house normally is a 65-70 gal tv stand that I renovated, temps are normal around 115, right now the humidity is high around 40-50% because of our location/summer time. For travel, she hangs out in a 40 gal tank that she originally lived in. I assume the stress got to her causing some watery poos. But it's been maybe 3 weeks since she's back back in her normal house. I continue the probiotic gel, and just started feeding her pumpkin for the past two days. Aside from that, shes a pig, she waits by her dish every morning for my to dump some greens in (dandelion greens, kale, bokchoy), what ever I have for veggies, and a couples large dubia roaches every 2-3 days. She's relatively active, she not hiding too much, but she has been hanging out on the lower cooler level of her house alot. She's currently walking around on the window sill enjoying the hot sun.

I'm not the most experienced in this area so hopefully someone with more experience will jump in soon.
I do want to ask you if she basks often? After she eats how long does she usually bask for? The reason I ask is because if she is over a year old those temps are to high for her. Babies usually require the higher temps and adults usually like a cooler basking area between 90-100 degrees. If she is indeed getting over heated and not wanted to bask this can cause issues with her poo.
I personally would not use any medication if she is parasite free now, I would just simply continue with the probiotic and the normal calcium/multi vitamins and decrease her temps s bit. How are her urates looking? Nice and white? Are they runny as well?
Someone with much more experience that can offer you much better advice than I personally can will jump in soon. Until than, If she has been to the vet, parasite free, is eagerly eating, and active I wouldn't worry to much. It sounds like at this point it may just be something very minor.

Hi there....I agree with Mscarter's advice. It's good that she's eating well and sounds like she's reasonably healthy. Can you post a pic of her actual poo ? And keep in mind that pumpkin is kind of like a natural laxative so it may be adding to the looser stools.

Thanks for the advice guys.
I actually switched to her smaller basking light because it's been so warm in the house that her tank was getting too hot. Now, it's about 100 in the basking area and 80 on the lower level. She definitely has not been basking quite as much as she used to. I'll stick with the smaller light and see how that goes.
Right now she isn't on any meds, just some probiotics. Her urates look fine, solid and white. I don't have a picture but her poos have been like a pile of mush with lots of water/liquid and a solid urate.

I called Zoo Creatures, where I got her, they are great reptile people. They usually have better suggestions and help than my vet does...one of the girls there suggested pumpkin to get some more fiber in her dirt. She suggested squash as well.

I just feel so bad for her and honestly i'm tired of cleaning diarrhea. I afraid to let her roam around with me in case she has diarrhea on the furniture or something. Normal poo is easier to clean of things, obviously.

hmmm now that you mention the lighting...she does tend to poop often when I let her bask on the window sill. Maybe it does have something to do with her not basking enough due to the high temps she had before....

fingers crossed! thanks again!

Definitely try decreasing those temps and get her basking like she should be and see if that helps. In the mean time I would continue with the probiotic, even if it doesn't cure the issue it will not hurt her. If she is eating a lot of pumpkin and greens this can definitely cause runny poo in her. As long as you are keeping her well hydrated (frequent baths and daily mist) your girl should be good :)
A pic of the poo would help so we can see exactly how runny it is. But the solid white urates means she's well hydrated so that's good! Honestly my guess is the basking situation mixed with the pumpkin. Like AHB stated it can cause runny poo as well. I wouldn't cut it out I would just simply add more veggies to go along with it to maybe even things out a bit. Best of luck to you and your girl! Keep us updated and let us know if these changes help any

Following.....

I'm still having the same issue with my guy Leo. It's going on 3 weeks now. Today was all liquid except for the urates.

So many different things can cause diarrhea in them. Have you had your guys feces tested for parasites?

yes. He was treated 2 rounds of Albon for Coccidia and the last sample 3 weeks ago came back clean, which I was surprised about given that he still didn't really have solid poops. The diarrhea started in full force though when we moved him from his 40 gallon to the 75 gallon tank. I'm wondering if it is habitat or heat related, that is why I was following the responses on this post.

A habitat change can cause stress which could possibly cause issues with bowl movements but I doubt it would continue this long. It could defiantly be heat related and moving to a different sized Viv can easily throw temps off and cause you to have to readjust things so I'd check that first. if this doesn't work I would check his diet and try to figure out if he is eating too much of something like a particular veggie that can cause loose bowls. In the mean time just keep him well hydrated. If he doesn't have parasites and his set up is correct, chances are its one of these things.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
