So I couldn't think of a good subject title, so don't mind the awkward one I put up. (a little background Basically, I have had Dexter since he was 3 month old. He's now 5 1/2 months. The first month I would freak about every little thing he did. But after that, he's been exhibiting some pretty healthy behavior. In late August he was diagnosed with a high Coccidia count. He was on Albon for 3 weeks and afterwards I was supposed to get another fecal test done. I haven't. So I think that could be relevant to know, and his poops still seem a little runny and abnormal, but maybe that's normal bearded dragon poop. I dunno. They're not as bad as they used to be.
But here's my problem now:
I rearranged his tank furniture about two to three weeks ago and got nicer thermometers and stuff. All was fine and dandy. He seemed to be great with the arrangement. But the last week he's been going to the same corner, just next to his basking spot. The corner is pretty much completely out of the UVB range. Plus, it's probably around 84 degrees there. He sleeps there, unless I put him in his log. And in the morning, instead of running around like he used to do, he just keeps laying there, not even budging. If I put him on his basking spot, he'll stay basking for awhile. But doesn't bask on his own. And the nights that I put him under his log, come morning, he'll stay under the log until somebody gets him out.
He never used to be like this. Does anyone have any ideas why he might be doing this? There's a few places that look like he's about to shed in, but they've looked this way for a couple weeks now. I don't know if that's related. I have an accurite digital thermometer. The basking spot can range anywhere from 103 to 108. Cool side is 80-83. Hot side around the basking spot is around 84. Humidity fluctuates around 40. PLEASE HELP. He concerns me.
