Dented patch of scales??

I just noticed a small patch of scales behind his left eyes are "dented." They don't seem to hurt him, but I'm not sure about that because he has been closing that eye some (more than normal, anyway.) The scales kind of look dead or something--they're dull in color, compared to the rest of him. This isn't serious, right?

Info: Pippin is 7" long (including tail), about 3 months old.
I use the correct repti-sun bulb, and his temperatures are 105 (basking), 100 (warm), and 85 (cool).
His appetite and behavior are normal. I feed him crickets and collard greens, and give him a warm bath at least once a week.

Help :(

The dull colour probably indicates that he's getting ready to shed there. I don't know about the dent though... can you post a picture?

His head just shed a couple of weeks ago... (and his body, so his tail needs to catch up.) My digi camera is dead, so here is a phone pic:

I fiddled with the contrast/brightness, but it's still pretty crappy

Can you point out where in the picture you're talking about? I see nothing different in the pictures.

Like I said, my camera is dead so I can't capture it. It's the little gray patch behind his eye, at the base of the hump. You can see on the second picture that it is dented.

Can you point it out in the picture? Circle it or something in paint, because I still don't see what you're talking about. I see normal dips and bumps on a dragons head.

If we can't see what they look like then we can't help you determine if they're dead or not. He could just be shedding, which makes the scales turn a different color.

if they are turning a gray color hes shedding, i don't thin they are dying cuz scales don't just randomly die (correct me if im worng)

if everything else is normal eating pooing etc don't worry.

sorry we can help really its just that we cant really see anything there, i just had a look at roo and he has the same dent it just the way their heads are.

I'll see if I can get a better pic. I mean, I know what I'm talking about. It's not shedding. Anyway, thanks for yourhelp.

Okay. I just found my mother's camera, woke my baby up (notice the glare <3), took a picture, took a picture of the picture with my phone, sent it to my email, upped the contrast and boosted the color, pointed to the patch, and HERE WE GO!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
