Ugh I got my order today from Dubia deli and all 500 were dead! So mad...looks to me like it was too humid for them in the shipping process. At leat I got my other feeders from lindashonebuggie just fine. So it's hornworms, butters and Phoenix until I can replenish the Dubia. I'm assuming it's NOT ok to feed off any of the dead even if they look plump n juicy? Maybe the 105 heat today was just too much for them?

Nope, unfortunately you can't feed the dead ones. It's too risky - they start decomposing immediately, so all kinds of bacteria and parasites can be reproducing in the dead roaches. My son fed our Richard some "healthy looking" crickets from a shipment that arrived mostly dead (I was at work at the time and found out later), and he ended up at the vet a few weeks later with a huge parasite problem. You also can't be sure the heat was what killed them. Most likely that's what it was, but you never know if they were exposed to chemicals, old food, bad water, or some sort of contagion.

Hopefully the place will give you a refund!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
