I finally decided on a name for my baby... Darla ( my dumb boyfriend callls her Darla Bert) which means Dear, Loved one.
I just hope she stays a girl now.

Darla hatched 7-11-12. I had preordered and been waiting since 5-18-12...that was a very long wait!! She finally got here 8-23-12. She was actually a surprise birthday present to myself :)

When she first got here she was a he and was 8 grams. After lots of peeking under his skirt...and lot
of stink eyes...I discovered HE was a SHE...see...

After lots and lots of trial and error and changing things around I think I finally got things right....for now anyway.

My first order of crickets came last week => EPIC FAIL!!! Most arrived dead..the rest escaped. I hope this week is better.

I have gotten the body flattening, the super scary Darla hiss, and even a cute lil baby bite to the finger.

Darla now weighs 13.5 grams.
Here she is when I got her.

I'm sorry Darla isn't doing well :( Kirby looks amazing!

What size of dubias are you feeding them? They can eat up to 1" now at their size. They grow faster on bigger dubias. It's also cheaper.

I also buy the tiny dubias from John 1000 at a time, but I raise them up to 1" before feeding them to my babies. If you don't have bigger dubias, you can get them from ABDragons while the small dubias are still growing. It's much more economical this way. I have tried several places now for dubias John from the For Sales section and ABDragons are the best. :)

By the way, Pineapple turned out to be a girl. So much for 90% accuracy. LOL I don't mind though because I wanted 2 girls. Have Darla and Kirby met each other or are you still quarantining? My babies haven't met yet. They have only seen each other through glass. Pineapple also gets stress marks when she sees Papaya so maybe they'll never get to play with each other. :(

Yes ive been giving them the small ones. I just finally ordered my breeding kit so i can get that started.. Im sick of ordering.. I just got 2000 from john... Maybe i should order some bigger ones and let these grow out with the breeders once they get here.

I feel so bad for darla.. I dont know what to do for her... And she is turning into such a sweet girl now. Shehas come so far. U can just tell in her eyes she doesnt feel good.

Im now convinced everything Terri says is BS!!! Darla is a 100 % citrus male, according to her. What a shady, bleep bleep!!

No.. They havent met yet... Only thru glass. They just watch each other... No more waves or beards. I need to get my adenovirus back first... And darla needs to start feeling better.

Its funny... They both put themselves to bed at about 5 pm even lights are out at 7.

Your babies are beautiful. I cant believe how big Papaya is!!! she is sooo pretty. And Pineapple is so yellow... She is gonna be really nice. Still makes me so angry that that b*tch ripped me of a good 300$.
Its so frustrating that everyone elses babies do so well... And mine dont. I have everything right... I just dont get it.

Here is where Darla mostly hangs out

Aww, I'm sorry little miss Darla isn't feeling well! Could it just be a winter slowdown? Or did you rule that part out already (hugs!) And the fact that Terri is still being awful about her just makes everything worse :( :x
At least you still have Kirby though! He's SO cute by the way :love5: And silly dragon, dubia are food not fashion accessories!

Haha both of mine poop in their dubia dishes pretty much everytime. They also prefer to poop in an empty one or one that doesn't have as many dubias in it still. So I put at least a couple of dishes in their tanks everyday.

Have you tried taking away Darla's hide again? She won't be eating much if she's not basking. Papaya stopped basking for a few days when she first moved to the big Exo Terra tank. She didn't like it when the UVB was right in the middle of the tank on top of her head. I had to move it to the back of the tank. She was closing her eyes and kept hanging out in a corner away from both lights. I had to play around with my lights and their arrangements for a while until I got it right. She has been on the rock everyday since. The trick is to get the UVB bulb to be behind them with their face facing into the basking light. Both of my also prefer different temperatures. Papaya likes the low 90's. Pineapple likes 100F.

Here's Pineapple's tank. Both have the exactly the same bare set up.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
