Darker patch of skin on head

My beardie, toffee, has a small ring of darker scales on her head. She used to find it irritating when touched and slap my hand away, but once I managed to get a chunk of stuck shed off that area she isn't bothered when touched. Here's some pictures of it. Does anyone know what to make of it? Would like to mention there was a bunch of stuck shed there that went unnoticed for a bit as she didn't like it being touched.

It looks like the area may still need another shed. It doesn't look injured or problematic based on the photo. I'd just give it some time and see how it looks after the next shed cycle.
