Dark spots (pictures)

My bearded dragon has developed a couple dark spots on his back. The area behind his left eye has gotten a little darker as well. It could be my imagination, but it seems like they get darker when he's stressed (e.g. bath time). Has anyone seen this before? Is this something to worry about?

Hi there, can you post a couple more pics of it , one showing his whole body, one showing the spot under his eye ? It doesn't look like anything serious, but since fungal infections pop up in beardies it's good to keep an eye on it.

Sure. Here are a few more. It's hard to capture in a photo because my camera doesn't do macro shots very well. The dark spot on his head looks like it could be a shadow or just lighting issues in the photo, but it's a noticeably dark spot in person. The third photo here shows the main dark spot on his back as close as I can get it. Besides being dark, the scales there look kind of shriveled, dead, and bunched up.

He's had them for a couple weeks now, and I'm pretty sure they're a little bigger now than when I first noticed them.

Sorry, I somehow missed the dark spot on his head which is plain to see in your first post. Do you have an experienced reptile vet that could have a look + take a skin scrape ? It would be good to know if it's fungal. It may be a bit of black fungus. For now you might get some Lamisil AT to apply to those spots, but a vet is needed to get a definite diagnosis. Hopefully everything will clear up for you !

Ok, thanks for the advice! I'll look around here for a reptile vet. I'm on the East side of Seattle, so surely there's somewhere reputable around here.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
