Dark Scale on neck fat, worried it could lead to infection

I noticed this scale about a week ago. My bearded dragon, Iroh, is 2 years old now. This is my first reptile, and I am still learning. I thought his scales were dirty, and after a bath it remains the same. After looking closer I am worried this could lead to a bigger issue if left unchecked. I plan on vet assistance, however if a harmless home remedy can help i would like to try that first.

Hello,

Do you have any pictures you could post? I noticed you had another post that I'll go check to see if you
posted any pictures there.
You can try using some silver gel or aloe vera gel on the area if it looks like retained shed perhaps.
If it is fungal, those will help too, if it is minor.

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?

Hey! We’re the same age! That’s cool!
Hi there a little update we went from a 50 watt heat lamp to a 100 watt basking halogen heat lamp hahaha I saw some comments about it being so close so I made sure to put it a ruler away from her
Has anyone seen this before? Something in the corner of his mouth
