Dandelion w/ Pesticides

I'm fearing neighborhood kids put the flower part into his cage that had fertilizer on them or pesticides....He is laying still, I'm holding him and he is remaining eyes closed. (Not norm) His enclosure did suffer a power surge blowing two of his lights. So I've wrapped him and he will only open his eyes when I lift or readjust him.

I can not confirm if any have any chemicals on them. EVERYTHING is Closed right now (Pet stores Vet) , and I do not know what to do....Soak him...get him to absorb water? HELP!

Did he eat any of the flower(s)? I would recommend that you get some fluids into him to help flush out his system and also bathe him. Are his eyes or the top of his head sunken? Does he have a darkened beard and/or tail?

What caused the power surge, a thunderstorm? When did that happen?

Eyes appear closed only, no change in color he is cool to touch. He did not move when I lifted his head to check his beard. Tail normal color -However, I just removed towel, he perked up to jump. He is wide awake soaking right now. His color was very light, he was also very cool to the touch. He has not defecated into the soak yet which he normally does. However, I usually soak him a day or two after a large cricket feeding and he goes instantly.

So light malfunction for 2 unobserved hours while out.
Unknown origin of Danelions...

I feel AWFUL

Cleaning his massive enclosure out now so he can go in clean w/ no weeds/flowers in there but still unsure what else to observe.

That's good that his tail and beard aren't dark and that his eyes aren't sunken. Were you able to get some oral fluids into him? Are you thinking that he was cool in his tank because of the lights being out for 2 hrs earlier? What are his tank temps? Has he been under the basking light lately? What type of thermometer are you using?

It's a good sign that he is wide awake in the bath. Keep an eye on his coloring and his breathing. Keep us updated too.

He did not drink any fluids that I observed, and I've never attempted to force fluids before to him, I would need to learn how/when to do that.

Once he finished soaking, and I was done cleaning his enclosure I wrapped him in the towel and placed him towards the warm side but not in direct light. He left the towel almost instantly, and was licking (testing) the tile (His substrate is Slate Tile I do not use Sand or anything else)
I gave him fresh water and mixed up some food for him (Veggies/Dead Crickets/Mealworms) he watched me entire time and again "tested" the food dish.. ate some then proceeded to the cool side of the tank (80 degrees) and laid in his water dish against the corner standing up then laying down.

He has since (overnight) defecated and is in his "house" and I haven't seen him come out. The hot/basking side will be around 110-115.

He was basking alot last week and over last 2 weeks shed his skin twice.

Also, the thermometers are digital, one is in the tank read on the outside. Other is a remote infrared that I just point and press the button.

To help get some fluids into him, what you can do is use a plastic medicine dropper and put drops on his nose for him to lick off. Most really like drinking that way. A lot of beardies don't drink from standing water dishes.

Since he is not really basking and spending quite a bit of time either on the cool side or in his water dish, it sounds like he is too hot. Is the digital thermometer that you mentioned a digital strip or digital with a long wire & probe end? Are you checking the temp right under the basking light? A temp of 115 is a little too high, it should actually not be any hotter than 110. When you test with the infrared temperature gun, how close are you holding the gun to the spot you're testing?

How is his coloring and breathing today? Did he eat much for you?

I have tried to drop some water on him, sometimes that works sometimes now...depending on what he wants to do. He rather drink water while he is soaking...

I should of rephrased, he does bask a lot just when I put him in he went over to that corner. It has been up to 115 on the hottest corner but keep in mind his level is 56" long Over 30" high (Think 36") and over 26" deep.

The digital therm w/ probe is about 8" high 8" into the 26" on the hot side...it currently reads 94. The infrared I am 30 " from light same level as it shooting straight across (Door open) it reads that 113-115 side...

He devoured about 25 crickets yesterday..more today not sure how many...5 Waxworms yesterday, 8 mealworms yesterday...LOL...some greens today...I can never get him to eat to many greens...

Currently, I posted in behavior and he is sleeping on my chest like a needy little baby LOL so content, warm, breathing normal and just being... "affectionate" is that possible with them?
