Does anyone know where to find dandelion greens or is it better to garden them yourself? Also, how do you prepare them? Can they eat the whole plant or do I have to chop them in sections?
I have seen them in the grocery store lately. I'm in Maryland and did not see them all winter. I usually buy them by the pound, but have only seen them sold in bunches. 3-4$ a lb.
If you have them in a yard that is not sprayed with chemicals you can pick them yourself. My guys like the flower and the greens, but sometimes they won't eat the greens.I read that after the flower has bloomed the greens taste a bit different so sometimes they'll eat them sometimes not. I tear the leaves in to a few pieces so they can eat them more easily.
