Damaged tail

So I bought a bearded dragon from petsmart and she had a nipped tail. The black part fell off a little bit ago but the other part is still damaged a little. I am putting neosporin (spelling) on it and trying to keep it clean. But I noticed that the color on his tail closer to the damaged area has lost her pretty orange color. It's orange by her body but as soon as you start going down its a dull grey coloring. Is this normal?? Should I be worried? What are signs of tail rot??

theres mixed reviews on neosporin get some terrymycin cream on it your vet should lend you some

its still raw probly as for the color its normal for the tail to go from dull to body color as it gets higher

Is betadine okay to soak it in? It's really expensive but it's worth it if it'll help!!

nope it destroys there scales :/ id stick with neo. as thats your best choice right now terramycin is about 8 a bottle a think

Do I have to go to a vet for it? Or can I get it from a pharmacy? My vet won't give me anything with out a visit and blood work witch runs 140 ish which is so much money right now!!

geez you have a bad vet than you can mail order it beardeddragon.co id also invest in baytril its a oral antibiotic in case things get worse also saves on shipping there both cheap and they flavor it for you go with strawberry
