cut on tail

Hey, so my beardie had some retained shed on his tail and a few days ago i finally got it all off through warm baths and scrubbing with a soft bristled tooth bush, but there is one area were it looks like he has a cut on his tail, I'm not sure if thats my fault or from the shed itself being so tight, but either way, it had scabbed over but i think he reopened it somehow, is there anything i can do to help him heal? It was a little swollen earlier but after his bath it seems to have gone down, there may have been some pus but its too small of an injury to see properly.

Hi there....it doesn't look bad or infected. You might use some Neosporin or raw honey [ from a health food store ] It works as an antimicrobial. In the future don't scrub the tail too much, most sheds will come off on their own with time.....he will probably be fine though.
