custom background

i have been building my custom background
i have built it out of styrofoam
i used 3 layers of grout
i did 2 coats of polycrylic sealent with sand sprinkled on the second coat
do you think that i should do more coats of sealent?
i ran out of sealent and dont want to buy more unless its neccesary
i can push a dent with finger into the fixture if i push hard enough
is this normal?

I guess it depends how hard you pushing. I did 5 layers of grout and mine is fairly solid. Painting it helped as the grout was less prone to cracking and giving way. I guess when in doubt, ad more grout

I did 4 layers of paint, one base, 3 dry brush techniques. My problem is coming with the sealer. I got a non-toxic tile waterproof sealer but after 3 layers is still remaining a tad sticky. Will this go away or is there a quick fix to get it less sticky? :?:
