Hi All,

I have a 7 week old hatchling with a curly tail. It's caused no problems so far, eating, pooping, growing all normal. I am more worried about the kink at the base of his tail.

Has anyone encountered this before? Is it likely to cause and problems down the track? I am thinking about taking it to the vet to just check it out and make sure all is ok.

I've seen similar curls and kinks due to birth defects. It's a good sign that he is eating normally and is active. Keep an eye on the tail for areas that start to look withered or any open wounds which could become infected. Other than that, I'm not sure there is much you can do and he may wind up leading a pretty normal life.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
